Since I chose the Republican Party as the main topic for my graduation project, I have decided to implement a candidate awareness campaign for some of the Republican Party candidates who are up for election this November. Before I could begin, I had to figure out which candidates I wanted to include in my campaign. To do this, I went to a Republican P

arty dinner at Kannapolis Country Club with my mentor in order to meet candidates and become even further immersed into the political world. I took several pictures of the candidates that I met and I plan on using these as a part of my campaign as well. The dinner actually turned out to be a lot of fun. I collected a large array of advertising stickers, pens, and business cards and I also got a chance to connect with the candidates on a personal level. After we ate, each candidate got a chance to go up to the microphone and speak briefly about their campaign, and the changes they hoped to make if they were elected. It was really interesting to listen to what each of them had to say. However, they weren't allowed to speak for more than two minutes since everyone was anxious to get home and watch the Carol

ina game, but I think this actually made the speeches all the more interesting because they were forced to present the facts without any extra "political fluff". The next phase of my product will consist of actually beginning my candidate awareness campaign, and attending this dinner will definitely make this portion of my project much easier since I am already aquainted with many of the candidates that I will be advertising for, and I will be more enthusiastic in motivating others to vote for them since I am personally connected with them.
